Volunteer Opportunities at Gilmer Nursing Home

Auxiliary - Guest Relations Committee Members:

POSITIONS OPEN TO:

Smiling, caring, fun loving individuals with a desire to help others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be able to:

Greet the public with a smile in your voice
Deliver flower arrangements, to patients
Make family members feel welcome
Offer words of encouragement
Distribute books and magazines
Offer beverage refreshments to guests
Smile, even when you may want to cry
Assist patients as they are being discharged.

AGE LIMIT:

16 to 99

EXPERIENCE:

Walked barefoot in the grass, picnicked in the park, hiked in the woods, laughed often and stopped to smell the daises.

SALARY:

Minimum - a few tired feet, but pride in self and a joyful heart.

ADVANCEMENT OPPORTUNITIES:

May be asked to be the chairperson of a project or an officer of the Guest Relations Committee.
