The initial step involves contacting the Admissions Coordinator and sending us your family member's medical records. The daily rate for a semi-private room at Gilmer Nursing is $185 per day.

Short Term (potential 100 days for Medicare qualified residents)

Medicare pays 100% for up to 20 days.
Supplemental policies will usually cover days 21-100 at 100%.
If no supplemental policy, the cost is $152 per day.

Long Term

If not private pay, a Medicaid application may be an option. We find that many residents qualify for Medicaid to pay for long term nursing home care. In fact, Medicaid even allows that if one spouse is admitted, a certain amount of assets are protected for the remaining spouse in qualifying for assistance.
